Both Autosport-Atlas and ITV-F1 are running the story that David Coulthard is criticising the way Michael Schumacher beckoned marshall’s assistance to escape from turn three at Melbourne. As is always the case, if the rules don’t prevent it, you can’t blame a driver for doing it. If Coulthard wants the FIA to afford better protection to marshalls then perhaps he should encourage them to legislate for it. Besides, does he really want to look a hypocrite should he ever need a push himself?
