    1. Jenson really struggled today :O!

    2. What happened to Jarno on lap 26 again? Was that the one when he was still racing, but they were doing work to him in the garage?

    3. You could park a bus in the difference between Massa and Alonso.

      1. Seriously!!
Even Piquet was never THAT far behind Alonso.

But I don’t think Massa is indeed that slower than Alonso, the long street track coupled with slower cars ahead of Massa exacerbate the gap.

But however many excuse one makes for Massa, its not gonna cover up 4.1 seconds, perhaps about 3 seconds, but no more.

      2. It’s pointless comparing Massa and Alonso here. They were both on completely different strategies – Massa had to make his tyres last 60 laps – and Massa was in traffic almost all the time.

        1. Sumedh I never meant to compare the actual times as Keith points out they were on different strategies and different situations. I was just amused by the gap!

I actually think despite the earlier than hoped for SC, he did pretty well. Last to 8th? Ok he got some luck but maybe he was owed some after qualifying.

          1. Oh I see, sorry.

        2. Webber had to make his last almost as long and he’s not way near as far of Vettel.. Although, Alonso and Vettel we’re in a league of their own. No question about it.

          1. But obviously Massa was held up by traffic far more than Webber or any frontrunner for that matter.. So nevermind, a little..

      3. True but Felipe could hardly run at his own pace in the whole race, he was always behind someone

        1. And he had some issues with the gearbox. Smedley warned him not to use 1st gear early in the race.

    4. Look at the difference between Alonso and Vettel! It’s almost like the drove identical races, Alonso just got the advantage of being ahead at the start. Incredible! 2 hours of driving and not a thumb between them.

    5. Massa has been slower than his team mate the whole year. Not surprised.

    6. Unbelievable to see that both schumi and buemi pulled out a faster lap than button. Button wasn’t quick enough to do anything today but he got closer to his team mate championship wise

      1. Buemi was on absolutely different strategy… He was in pit even three times, cause he was destroying his tyres very quickly… His teammate stayed on one set for 58 laps… They were equally matched in terms of pace at the time where both had the first set of tyres…

    7. The big crest in the lap times. I think its of Liuzzi.
Keith, when I am unticking for Liuzzi, that curve isnt disappearing. Is there some problem with the tool ?

      1. Liuzzi only did one lap, so he just has a dot on lap one, not a line.

    8. Just shows how dominant Alonso and Vettel were during the race. OK, Webber had damaged car, Hamilton had 1/3 of fuel at best and Button was held up by Webber. But even Kubica, on much fresher tyres was over a second behind, while in some races drivers with new tyres in the end have set fastest laps, especially the Renault guys in Turkey and Canada.
