reagrding hamilton’s damaged floor, it was reported on the McLaren website that Lewis had something stuck in his front wing a few laps earlier. Could it be that this fell off the front wing and went back and broke the strut holding up the tray?
Coulthard did well to quickly spot the broken floor in BBC commentary, but did less well in not knowing that McLaren haven’t had a strut on the tray since the middle of last season.
What DC said on the BBC coverage about Schumacher failing with “it got damaged due to going over cerbs” forgot to take into account that the stewards rejected that argument mainly because they disagreed the wear they saw was too even to be explained that way instead of by a too low ride height. I would think that in this case, even if part of the plank was too thin, there were clear signs of it having been damaged.

So maybe it isn’t coincidence that the Venezuelan flags looks so similar to Columbia’s.

Yes, they don’t have it since changes were made to the rule regarding floor flex tests.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single driver’s lineup photo like that without at least one of them looking at something other than the camera.

Keith,
any more information on the tech failures on both of the Williams?
I heard they were gearbox/driveshaft failures. If so they will be worried….
Thanks

Man, the 2011 field looks soooooo bland!! Colour wise that is.
It really lacks the yellow Renault wasps from last year.

I think Renault & Sauber could cause alot of upsets. Given that Sauber can fix their specification problem with the rear wing.
Which brings me to ask, ” How did Mclaren get away with being within specification if the floor tray is missing bits and pieces ? “
