Surprised not to see messages to support Jules on the cars, as the #KeepFightingMichael. Or maybe just not clear in these pictures.

    1. @omarr-pepper There’s a separate gallery for those because there’s so many of them – most of the GP2 drivers seem to have them too. It’s just gone up here:

Drivers and teams display support for Bianchi

  3. Those stands look pretty bare. I hope they get a few more people in them over the next few days.

    1. @petey84 The organizers said on Thursday that 53 of 55 thousand tickets have been sold at that point, so in theory they should be full.

  4. I can’t stand this track. It looks the same as Valencia, Korea, Yas Marina, India and COTA. Has no identity of its own.

Turns 1, 2 and 3 are exactly the same as Valencia’s turns 1,2 and 3 (Start/finish, straight with a curve in it, followed by a quick right left). Except this time they’ve made it completely pointless and can’t wait to see how many times it will be bypassed by the drivers.

The semi-circle corner is interesting, until you remember that it is a copy and an extension of turn 7 in Shanghai.

Tilke has forgotten all about originality and is creating tracks without any identity of their own. When these tracks are off the calender, nobody will remember them with any fondness. They are so unmemorable its infuriating. Will newer F1 fans remember Korea the same way I remember Imola? No chance.
