Formula One’s official tyre supplier Pirelli has nominated its softest tyre compounds for the eighth time this year in its selection for the United States Grand Prix.

Drivers will have the choice of the ultra-soft, super-soft and soft tyres from October’s race at the Circuit of the Americas.

The selection is one stage softer than those used last year.

    1. Wait, ultra-soft tyres in Spa? Wow.

    2. Wonder why they don’t try medium-soft-ultrasoft compo. Gap between softest tyres would give more variable for teams to choose. Just thinking that last years race on singapore…

    3. At this point it seems like those Hard compound tyres(atleast for 2017) are just there because the tyre manufacturer needs harrd compound tyres in lineup for namesake.
