Ten of the best pictures which tell the story of the 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.
Stoffel Vandoorne

Mclaren’s final race with Honda ended with one of the cars in the points, but it wasn’t Stoffel Vandoorne’s: He picked up damage early on, leaving him with an ill-handling car.
Brendon Hartley

Toro Rosso’s tough end to the season continued. Brendon Hartley lined up last with his fourth power unit penalty in as many races, and Renault pinched sixth place off them in the constructors’ championship.
Start

Valtteri Bottas took pole position and kept his lead at the start. Further back Kevin Magnussen ran wide and spun a couple of corners later.
Lance Stroll and Romain Grosjean

Romain Grosjean produced one of the few overtaking moves of the race having patiently chipped away at Lance Stroll’s Williams for several laps.
Max Verstappen

A single stop was the way to go for almost all the drivers. Max Verstappen had the usual quick service from the Red Bull crew but it wasn’t quite enough to get him ahead of Kimi Raikkonen.
Felipe Massa

Felipe Massa bowed out of Formula One by taking the final point for tenth place.
Valtteri Bottas

Bottas ended the season on top having withstood race-long pressure from hLewis Hamilton.
Max Verstappen

Verstappen spent most of his race following Raikkonen. “We will expect a good drawing of the rear of that Ferrari,” his engineer told him after the chequered flag fell.
Podium

A spectacular podium ceremony followed an unspectacular race.
