World Touring Car Cup

The Sebastien Loeb Racing Volkswagen Golfs of Rob Huff and Mehdi Bennani locked out the front row of the grid for the first race, but the weekend quickly turned into a disaster.

IndyCar

Josef Newgarden took pole position from his team mate Will Power, looking for his third win of the season.

British Touring Car Championship

A sudden upturn in form saw the BMR Subaru’s of Ash Sutton and Jason Plato lock out the front row of the grid, but would that translate to race pace?

Sonoma is one of the few non-oval tracks on the NASCAR calendar and has produced nine different winners from the previous nine races.

    Then locked out the entire track!
    That was an almighty shunt, both cars completely written off.
    I really like Vila Real, its a great strert circuit, but every year there are so many crashes that it detracts a bit from the racing.

    Good to see Dan Lloyd get a maiden BTCC win. Yes it was only race 3 (partial reverse grid), but he showed his class a few years ago, only for lack of funds to get in the way. Now on the back of him completely dominating the new TCR UK series, hopefully he’ll have more of a fighting chance to commit to BTCC properly.
