  1. Sainz again delivered a good result for Mclaren.

  2. hopefully the second part of the season is more like this.

  3. Great race, more rain please.

    1. I don’t know about you, but this kinda makes me long for Malaysia.

    2. Hopefully as soon as at Spa!

  4. Max in 2019 is doing a Alonso in 2012. Both outclassing their team mates by miles. The only difference is that Massa was the de facto 2nd driver while Gasly is naturally rubbish.

    1. True, Massa had good racecraft and understanding of car which Gasly doesnt seem to have.

      1. I feel if 2010 ‘Fernando is faster than you’ did not happen we could have seen a more competitive Massa over the years.

Massa would mop the floor with Gasly. After his crash he wasn’t the same but even so, he scored podiums now and then and was a decent No.2

  5. Having 2nd best car in race trim for some races now started to pay dividends for VER. Coupled with some mistakes from Ferrari’s side that costed them points, now VER he has a significant number of points over best positioned Ferrari driver. Gasly is a disaster, otherwise RBR could have been ahead of Ferrari in the WCC too.

    1. Gasly really is finished. He again showed that his racecraft is bad, and his pace is slow, even in the wet. I know that in this race he had a bit of bad luck with pit-stops and safetycars not favouring him, but to end up behind both Torro-Rossos and a Racing Point with a few laps to go that is quite rubbish. And finally, to crash into the sister car of Albon with a couple of laps to go, that just adds insult to injury.

This confirms Stroll is better than Perez ;)

4 places higher up than an experienced Perez in the driver standings.

Anyway, don’t really mean it but Perez has been poor these last 2 races. Stroll didn’t look good last race and neither did he really look good at the start of this race. But the way he made this strategy work was incredible.

    1. Stroll seems to be quite strong in the rain. I remember he qualified 4th at a rain soaked Monza in the past, so he must have a feel for these trickier conditions. Which usually is the mark of a great driver, but Stroll only seems great in the rain, never on dry.

  7. Reliable table this time, Keith, or do we have to double check with F1 website…
