The Mercedes cars might have looked well clear of the field in second practice but Max Verstappen was on top of them in the earlier session.

Will the fight for victory in the final race of 2020 be between these three? It’s time to make your predictions.

Both Red Bull cars followed the Mercedes as third and fourth fastest in the more representative dusk running of second practice, followed by Lando Norris, Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez.

The tight midfield battle looks set to carry on, with sixth to ninth fastest drivers separated by less than a hundredth after the low-fuel runs in second practice. Renault looked slightly further ahead than their rivals for third place in the constructors’ title but with very little in it to decide the qualifying order.

Bottas was ahead of Hamilton in both Friday sessions but a brake problem for Hamilton lost him a lot of running in first practice, before closing the gap to two tenths in the second session.

  1. Bottas is gonna win, and after the race Lewis is heaping loads of praise on him by calling him his strongest teammate ever.
During the race a situation will occur that prompts a decision from Mercedes which will be overruled by Lewis, paving the way for a lot of compliments after the race telling us why Lewis is so important and vital to their success.
Max will use some profane language, prompting a reaction from the press, who, after being quiet during the previous two weekends, are itching to express their hypocrisy.

And for the rest it will be business as usual.
