Leclerc has a very unique talent, one of the best qualifiers I a seen in 40 years (like Senna). He would put that RBR at least 0.5sec clear from anyone on this particular race track.
>Ferrari faster than Red Bull in qualifying almost this entire season, especially since they brought upgrades and Red Bull didn’t >Didn’t think they’d do it again even after seeing their speed compared to Red Bull during FP’s
And here I thought Charles was at least somewhat smart…
This entire downplaying pace, just as Binotto is doing and Mercedes was doing last decade is getting tedious
@barryfromdownunder RBR brought upgrades to Baku. A revised beam wing, new sidepod configuration at the rear end of the car that certainly have an impact on their packaging and an updated suspension configuration.

Ferrari have been acknowledging their pace since the start of the season. No sandbagging nonsense at all. The data suggests that this year they have lagged massively on the straights behind RBR and Baku with the longest straight in the calendar, they expected RBR to be very competitive. They brought a new low downforce rear wing that was deployed in FP2 for comparison reasons. This is the first time in the season that they have matched RBR’s pace on the straights.

Absolutely, a stark contrast with how mercedes did stuff, and that goes even for red bull, they say when they feel they will be fast.
