@keithcollantine. Thank you Kieth for putting in the energy creating this rating spreadsheet and posting it. It’s an interesting read.
While I find the numbers a little different and was not expecting to see how some were rated, we have to start somewhere. For sure some may see the ratings differently but we get to review it and to discuss. It’s certainly a subjective topic.
It would be interesting to know what formula and parameters that was used to generate these numbers?

This are based according to last year?
24th June 2022, 16:40
Too many consoles these days to choose to play a specific game which I hate completely.
24th June 2022, 16:59
Kind of silly Lewis has a better rating than Russell, Russell seems to be outperforming him.

Ironic, as it was a blind mole that pushed him into the wall at Silverstone. No surprise really, as EA has been going woke for years now.
24th June 2022, 18:12
well, too little racecraft from the crash-or-yield driver
30th June 2022, 16:14
Awareness 79, yep.
24th June 2022, 17:37
Hopefully they’ll be editable as some of those are bizarre!
24th June 2022, 18:16
Where are the F2 and F3 drivers ratings?
24th June 2022, 18:32
@qeki No F3 in the game.
25th June 2022, 4:36
@mashiat but you could still hire them in your own team?
25th June 2022, 14:46
@qeki I don’t think so. It’s only the F1 and F2 fields. You might be thinking of the F1 Manager 22 game.

Max and Lewis have same score. oh how politically correct…. am fairly certain they work out the overall score desired, then plug in experience, and then back into the other stats as needed.

Well that Overall must be some convoluted formula, because if you average all the categories (at least in Excel), you come out with 86.5 and 93.5 for Verstappen and Hamilton respectively. Assuming the formatting doesn’t implode on posting, 6th number is the average of Experience, Racecraft, Awareness, and Pace, 7th number is Average/Overall.
Driver Ex Rc Aw Pc Ov Avg Avg/Ov
Max Verstappen 72 98 79 97 94 86.5 0.920212766
Lewis Hamilton 93 96 92 93 94 93.5 0.994680851
Charles Leclerc 65 94 91 95 92 86.25 0.9375
Lando Norris 64 94 82 92 90 83 0.922222222
George Russell 64 90 86 93 90 83.25 0.925
Fernando Alonso 98 88 78 89 89 88.25 0.991573034
Valtteri Bottas 77 84 93 90 88 86 0.977272727
Sergio Perez 83 89 85 89 88 86.5 0.982954545
Carlos Sainz Jr. 72 89 89 87 87 84.25 0.968390805
Sebastian Vettel 91 87 92 83 85 88.25 1.038235294
Pierre Gasly 62 90 79 84 84 78.75 0.9375
Daniel Ricciardo 82 88 93 80 83 85.75 1.03313253
Esteban Ocon 63 90 76 82 83 77.75 0.936746988
Alexander Albon 59 90 76 81 82 76.5 0.932926829
Kevin Magnussen 68 82 84 82 81 79 0.975308642
Lance Stroll 65 89 76 77 80 76.75 0.959375
Yuki Tsunoda 55 76 74 83 78 72 0.923076923
Mick Schumacher 56 79 80 79 77 73.5 0.954545455
Nicholas Latifi 60 80 76 66 70 70.5 1.007142857
Guanyu Zhou 47 80 73 67 70 66.75 0.953571429
I suppose if you’re in career mode you’d want to get a Vettel/Ricciardo pairing or a Hamilton/Latifi pairing to maximize ratios. People can formulate hypotheses at their leisure.

Ah yep, formatting went to hell in a handbasket.
24th June 2022, 18:40
So mostly experience and awareness keep Lewis in the top.
Not sure about the awareness part there form both.. to low for Verstappen and to high for Hamilton ( my opinion) and remarkable high for Bottas..

The way they have judged awareness is apparently by this method:
“Awareness rewards drivers who avoid the stewards’ room. More severe errors on track cost more awarenes points.”
quoted from here at 06:48
That is in fact a very accurate reflection on bottas if you look back on his seasons. And verstappen god 8 penalty points in his rookie season and the number of accidents and calls to the stewards is never ending. Pretty accurate for both I’d say.
Bottas at one stage nearly went 2 full seasons without getting a single penalty point, and there has only ever been one occation in his 9+ year career where he was responsible for anyone elses retirement and that was hungary 2021. The only other time he crashed out himself was Germany 2019.
So in terms of making very few errors and avoiding penalties, that seems right to see bottas score highly.

Zhou +7, Kmag +4, Ric -1
24th June 2022, 20:09
It would honestly be perfect if they let fans adjust the ratings in their own games like FIFA lets you.
24th June 2022, 21:24
I guess they will be strongly adjusted for a mid-season change for this year then?
25th June 2022, 3:16
Does the game have an aspect (or option) for influence from he FIA? Something along the lines of the race director changing rules during a race?
Perhaps that would be the same as an easy mode?
On Max’s rating: I believe that he is is fully ‘aware’ of the lunges he makes, but perhaps that is the only term they have.
26th June 2022, 17:06
Abu Dhabi was a while ago.
25th June 2022, 4:56
There’s no porpoising in the game, right?
25th June 2022, 14:48
_________ Experience Racecraft Awareness Pace = Overall
Lewis Hamilton 93 96 92 93 = 94
George Russell 64 90 86 93 = 90
Valtteri Bottas 77 84 93 90 = 88
Terrible. Russel being so much worse than Hamilton looks just silly having seen them in equal cars this season. Russell has been beating Lewis both in Awareness, Pace and whatever Racecraft is. And Russell should be awarded for having less experience and despite it achieving much more. Experience is worth only as much as you can do with it.
Ben Rowe (@thegianthogweed)
25th June 2022, 20:55
These statistics give the advantage to drivers that have been there longer, even if it has been the case that those newer drivers are now beating the more experienced. Including everything that we have seen from both, I would still say overall hamilton is better than russell.
And you saying “so much worse” isn’t exactly true. Based on the final numbers, he’s Hamilton is only 4% better.
30th June 2022, 16:17
Basically only the experience rating is much different and Ham has been in more than 4 times as many races as Rus so what are you complaining about?
25th June 2022, 16:53
Weird stats. It’ll end up with the sim looking nothing like reality.
26th June 2022, 9:25
Whoever set Alonso’s racecraft and awareness has clearly never seen the man race…
26th June 2022, 18:16
Alonso punished for holding up Hammy and not letting him fly to an easy win in Hungary and Monaco!!! 78 awareness lol. Also the man who put the Alpine on a podium and in the front row in Canada has less racecraft than Albon and Stroll!!!1 You can tell British FIA wants Hammy to come back, they keep showing his onboards in TV before anyone elses to see him try and get out of Q2!!! While Russell gets a podium. The rest of the world exists, folks.
26th June 2022, 22:31
Daniel has been struggling on speed, but almost every driver with a higher race craft rating is a joke. Alonso should be the highest by far in that category.
