Here’s a frustrating way to lose a championship: contracting tonsilitis. That’s what is keeping Egor Orudzhev out of the cockpit from this weekend’s Formula V8 3.5 title-decider in Bahrain. He’s 25 points behind Pietro Fittipaldi with 50 available over the final two races:

Egor Orudzhev will miss the final round of the @world_seriesv8 , which will be held on 17-18 November in Bahrain. SMP Racing driver Egor Orudzhev who took part in World Series Formula 3.5 V8 during all season, forced to miss the final stage of the championship due to illness. Orudzhev was hospitalized in Moscow with acute tonsillitis. Egor took part in eight rounds of the series, won two races and scored another 8 podiums. At the moment Orudzhev takes the third place in drivers’ championship, separated by 25 points from the leader. "I'm upset, – said Egor Orudzhev. – This weekend i could be competing for the championship. Also I can not participate in the presentation of the new prototype BR1, which will take place in Bahrain. But now I need to stay in the hospital. I'm sure everything will be fine». We wish Egor a speedy recovery!
